The question has been asked, can we lose our salvation? Interesting that we tend to call it "our salvation" David said, "restore unto me the joy of thy salvation." Psalm 51:12. The truth is that salvation is not in our hands to lose because if it were, we would lose it. We do our part when we bring our nasty sinful heart to him to be cleaned and he cleanses us from all unrighteousness setting us into rebirth with a new life as we hear his voice and follow him. Yahshua said that his sheep hear his voice and follow him and when they do they are in his hands and no man can pluck them out. He then doubled down by saying that he is in his father’s hands and no man is able to pluck them out. No man includes me as I evaluate my abilities to pluck myself out of his hand. I can’t do it because he declared that he is the one doing the holding. He holds us, we do not hold him. We hear his voice and follow him. John 10:27-30 Once we follow him we can not unfollow him because we can not undo what we have done. Nick said it best when he tried to visualize going back into his mother’s womb and being reborn. Christ said you must be born again, not again and again and again. First by water of your mother and then by your spirit as you hear his voice and follow him. We may at times fall away in foolishness but we are never out of his hand. Perhaps you think that you lost it. It was never yours to lose. Psa 51:12 Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit.
